Match Report

Although they started slowly YMCA gradually began to dominate the game to finish as convincing winners at a sunny but cold Seafield Rd last Sunday. After a scrappy start they eventually found their rhythm and took the lead in the 10th min when Isabelle Kells ran through the visitors defence before coolly slotting the ball home. Within a minute she notched her second after latching on to a fine through ball from Honey Griffith. As YMCA began to take full control of the game Ellie McNally carried the ball down the right wing before shooting and the ball found its way into the bottom corner in-off the keeper. The goals kept on coming and Georgia Norman bundled her way through to make it 4-0 before Kells netted again to complete her hat trick with another smart finish which put YMCA 5-0 ahead at the break. Further goals followed in the second half with Kells claiming her fourth goal before McNally brought her tally to three with two further strikes. Just before the end Kells capped an outstanding display by claiming her fifth goal to complete an impressive YMCA victory. In an excellent all-round team display Holly Crossley was excellent throughout in midfield with Saisha Bracken and Griffith both giving notable performances also.
