Key news and reports: SUNDAY 27th SEPTEMBER 2015

YMCA suffered their first defeat of the season in an entertaining contest at a sunny Seafield Rd last Sunday. Both sides started well by producing some attractive football and YMCA were thankful to their goalkeeper Olivia Neal who pulled off some important saves throughout the game. It was YMCA though who took the lead midway through the first half when the ball rebounded in the Euxton penalty area to new signing Saisha Bracken who made no mistake with a smart finish. YMCA then doubled their lead after a great through ball by Ellie McNally found Georgia Norman who found herself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and she finished well with a low shot into the corner to give YMCA a 2-0 half time lead. After the break the visitors continued to put pressure on the YMCA defence and eventually they grabbed a deserved goal to make it 2-1. They scored again soon after to level the scores at 2-2 going into the final 10 mins. The visitors though finished looking the stronger side and they completed their fine comeback with a third goal to complete victory. Isabelle Kells in midfield and Lara Pilling in defence were notable throughout for YMCA.
