A short article released in the Biggleswade Chronical in April 2010

Following the decision of Sandy Football Club’s 1st Team Manager, Dan Bailey, to stand down to pursue his coaching qualifications, Sandy are looking for a new manager to take over the helm for the 2010/11 Season. Anyone interested or would like further details should initially contact Club Chairman, Colin Osborne, on Sandy 682032.

The Club is holding another Car Treasure Hunt, following the success of last year’s, on the afternoon of Sunday 30th May. If interested please contact Social Secretary, Dorothy Oakley, on Sandy 226230.

Then on Sunday 20th June the Club will be hosting the second All-Fill International 5-a-side Competition. The Competition is for adult teams and a maximum of 20 teams will be taking part. Invitations have been sent out but all enquiries are welcome – to Dorothy again please.

The Club are delighted that its Sunday side has set a new record in the Michael R Peters League of winning the Premier Division for four consecutive seasons – the first time any team has achieved this. Well done.”
