Currently without a game next week as well, Manager Ian Hammett is keen to stress that his players need to attend training next wednesday and/or ensure that they are maintaining their own fitness levels due to the extended break the team are having at the moment. Sandy name Management Team for 2010/11 Season

Sandy FC has recently appointed John Albon as their new first team manager. A level 2 coach for both outfield players and goalkeepers, John has spent 5 years coaching and managing at steps 6 and 7, including a spell at Codicote FC in the Herts County Premier that saw them finish in their highest league position ever and enjoy a three round run in the FA Vase.

He also coached Codicote U15s to their league title this season.

The new manager is looking forward to seeing all current players, along with some new faces when pre-season training gets started on Wednesday July 7th at 7 pm at Bedford Road Recreation Ground.

Speaking to the Biggleswade Chronicle, Albon said "I am grateful to the Committee at Sandy for giving me this opportunity, and I hope I can repay them with a successful season on the pitch. This is a club with a history in higher divisions and it is my intention to get us back there as soon as possible, with hopefully a cup run or two thrown in".

Club Chairman, Colin Osborne, said that “he was extremely happy to have John on board and with this appointment the managerial team for next season has now been completed”.

Graham Ward remains at the helm with the Reserve Team assisted by David Lloyd with Barry Uylatt and Barry Mills leading Sandy Sunday.”

Sandy Presentation Evening

Sandy Football Club held its annual Presentation Evening at Sandy Roundabout Club on Saturday 5th June. Following a three-course meal supplied by Doreen Lambert Caterers, Club Chairman Colin Osborne welcomed everyone and reflected on the previous season, which again had not been an easy one with each of the three teams being under new management.

However the Club had held several special events – A Christmas Centenary Party and a Quiz Evening – to celebrate its centenary season. In addition, the Club had produced a special Centenary Calendar. (A few copies are still available at the reduced price of £2-50p.). It was good to see, amongst those present, Len Cox – a Life Member.

The 1st Team, in its third season in Division 1, had got off to a slow start but then had an unbeaten run of 10 games before finishing the season with a run of defeats. However, the team was never fighting relegation which had been evident the season before. Manager Dan Bailey, who was stepping down to further his coaching work, presented his trophies to

Manager’s Player -- Andrew Wren, (Andrew has been successful in achieving this with each of the three teams he has played for within the Club),

Players’ Player – Andrew Wren,

Young Player – Phil Beale

Leading Goalscorer – Ian Hammett.

The Reserve Team had had a difficult season finishing in the bottom spot of Division 3 although Manager Graham Ward praised his players who had turned out in large numbers every week. His award winners were

Manager’s Player – Matt Gedney,

Players’ Player – Adam Jones,

Clubman – Antony Roberts

Leading Goalscorer – Dean Hains.

Sandy Sunday’s success story continued with the team being crowned Premier Division Champions of the Michael R Peters league for the fourth consecutive year – the only Club ever to achieve this in the league’s history. Team Manager, Barry Uylatt, presented his awards to

Manager’s Player – Nick Jones,

Players’ Player – Bill Sells,

Young Player – Bill Sells

Leading Goalscorer – Andrew Vallom.

After the awards the evening concluded with some fun competitions and music provided by Gary’s Disco.”

Sandy 1st Team
Weekend Preview

Sandy go into their last game of the season with nothing more than pride to play for, but they will be keen to finish the season on a high. Despite suffering a poor run of away form and missing several key players, Sandy will take heart from the fact that they beat Campton 2 - 1 in the reverse fixture at the beginning of the season

Campton have had a mixed end to their season losing their weekend games and winning their midweek encounters that has helped stave off the possibility of relegation. However Campton are not yet safe and will be keen to pick up all three points as they try to ensure that they will play division one football next season.

The hosts have only won twice in their last 11 games, where as Sandy have had slightly better fortune having won 4 of their last 11 games. Both teams will be looking to improve on those records in this last game of the 2009/10 season.

Squad: Andrew Wren, Dave Smith, Phil Beall, Richard Seldon, Shane Pope, Daniel Bailey, Alex Baker, Mark Jennings, Sam King, Ian Hammett, Charlie Seward, Jamie Bellingham, Iain Alderson.

Sandy 1st Team
Weekend Preview

Sandy travel to Hillgrounds in Bedford to take on 6th placed Bedford Sports Athletic knowing that a win will take them back above their hosts in the league standings.

Both sides are having indifferent runs of form as Beds SA have won only 3 of their last six games and Sandy have only won 2 of their last six encounters. However Sandy did end a four game losing streak on the road when they beat Blunham Reserves 5 - 0 on Monday 19th April.

With both teams safe in mid table obscurity nothing more than league placings at stake in this fixture, but Sandy FC will be keen to finish the season on a high and earn a forty point return in the league for the first time at this level for several seasons. With no fresh injury worries and no further news on whether Phil Beall has actually lost a toe or whether Niko Stanchev is actually in this country, the squad is likely to be unchanged. However with Man Utd having a lunchtime kick off, Sandy are hoping that Andrew Wren's calf injury doesn't mysteriously reappear!

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Phil Beall, Andrew Wren, Dave Smith, Daniel Bailey, Sam James, Mark Jennings, Sam King, Ian Hammett, Charlie Seward, Shane Pope, Iain Alderson.

Unavailable: Chris Baines (Broken Arm), Steve Jakes (Work)

Match Report amendment

Please note that the match report for the fixture against Leighton United on 17/4/2010 needs a slight correction. Dave Smith was not at fault for the fourth goal as the report states, because apparently he was in the shower at the time after being substituted. Some may say it was still his fault as if he hadn't been substituted he may well of cleared the ball. Sandy FC would like to apologise to Dave Smith as they realise that this minor mistake in the report caused much distress for the player in question and they would like to let Dave know they will not help with any counselling bills.

Apologies.

Sandy 1st Team
Monday Night Preview

Moggerhangar playing fields plays host to this local derby between Blunham Reserves and Sandy FC. Although promotion hopes for both sides have been dashed in recent weeks, Blunham are still in some danger of relegation should Campton Reserves and Stevington win all their remaining fixtures. Both sides will be keen to take all three points and take the bragging rights for this fixture.

Both sides are in poor form, with Sandy only having won once in their last six games and have lost four away games in a row. Blunham have faired little better as they are without a win on home soil in their last five attempts and have only won two of their last six matches. Something will have to give in this encounter as Sandy will look to move back up the table after losing their unbeaten home run on the weekend.

For the visitors Andrew Wren and Sam James return to boost the squad for this fixture, however influential centre back Phil Beall is struggling with a mysterious toe injury which apparently involves some skin wastage and Mark Jennings is suffering with blisters so both will need to pass late fitness tests with the team chiropodist before they can play. Footcare will be high on the agenda for Sandy FC for the rest of the season.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Andrew Wren, Richard Seldon, Phil Beall, Shane Pope, Sam James, Sam King, Mark Jennings, Daniel Bailey, Dave Smith, Ian Hammett, Charlie Seward, Craig Baker, Iain Alderson.

Unavailable: Chris Baines (Broken Arm), Steve Jakes (Work), Niko Stanchev (Unknown)

Weekend Preview

Although promotion is almost mathematically impossible for the home side, they can still have an effect on the title race when fourth placed Leighton United visit Bedford Road.

Sandy's home form has been excellent since Christmas and they are unbeaten in their last six home games. Whilst they have suffered four away defeats in a row, the performances have merited better results and the home side will be keen to extend their unbeaten run.

In their quest for the league title however Leighton have failed to win in their last three games which has placed a dent in their promotion hopes, and they will be keen to get back to winning ways when they visit Bedford Road. It should prove to be an exciting encounter as Sandy will look to gain revenge for the 5-2 defeat they suffered when they visited Leighton before Christmas.

Sandy will be hoping that Andrew Wren passes a late fitness test for the encounter after suffering a calf strain on Wednesday against Flitwick Town, but they will once again be without Sam James and Chris Baines.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Phil Beall, Dave Smith, Shane Pope, Sam King, Mark Jennings, Steve Jakes, Daniel Bailey, Ian Hammett, Charlie Seward, Adam Jones

Doubtful: Andrew Wren (Calf Strain)

Unavailable: Chris Baines (Broken Arm), Sam James (Spurs)

Midweek Preview

Sandy face a tough away trip to league leaders Flitwick Town on Wednesday evening as they look to turn around a run of three straight away losses. Despite this Sandy can take confidence from their morale boosting win over local rivals Ickwell and Old Warden on Saturday.

Flitwick will be keen to get a good result having lost to both of their title rivals recently, although they have only lost two of their last sixteen league games. Sandy however are also on a strong run since Christmas having lost only three of their last eleven league games.

The last encounter between these two sides was a tight affair at Bedford Road, and Sandy will be looking to reverse the disappointment of the 1 - 0 loss that they suffered on that occasion. Sandy will be missing several key players thouhg when they visit Steppingly road, as it was confirmed on Sunday that Chris Baines broke his arm on Saturday and Steve Jakes injured his groin. Craig Baker returns to the squad following suspension, and Adam Jones gets his second call up of the season following his debut against Henlow.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Andrew Wren, Phil Beall, Dave Smith, Shane Pope, Daniel Bailey, Mark Jennnings, Craig Baker, Ian Hammett, Charlie Seward, Alex Baker, Adam Jones

Sandy Reserves
Can of Coke league table

Manager Graham Ward has introduced the can of coke award within his squad alongside the Man of the Match award. The Can of Coke goes to the player who made the funniest error of the game or didn't quite perform to their usual standards. More often than not and definatley in the case of Marcus Tait it was awarded due to a hilarious moment that wouldn't look out of place on you've been framed or 2 good 2 bad at the end of Match of the Day 2 with Adrian Charles.

This is the league that no one wants to finish top of.

Can of Coke Standings:

Matt Flynn 4 (Wilhamstead Res, Lidlington, Riseley Sports Reserves, Flitwick Town Reserves)

Matt Gednay 4 (Queens Park Crescents, Stopsley Park, Clifton Reserves, Westoning Rec Club Res)

Weekend Preview

Sandy return to action at Bedford Road Recreation Ground this weekend as they entertain local rivals Ickwell and Old Warden Reserves. Sandy after a difficult few weeks will be glad to return to their home patch as they are unbeaten in their last five games at the rec.

Despite their strong home form, Sandy's away form has let them down in recent weeks and they have failed to take any points from their last three fixtures. Including a 3-1 loss to their visitors two weeks ago, a result which Sandy will be keen to reverse.

Ickwell on the other hand have hit a purple patch of form which has seen them win 3 of their last four games. Much like Sandy though Ickwells away form has been patchy and they have only managed to win once in their last six away games.

Both sides will be keen to take the points as well as the bragging rights, and a win for either side will see them move up the table.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Andrew Wren, Phil Beall, Dave Smith, Sam James, Sam King, Chris Baines, Mark Jennings, Steve Jakes, Ian Hammett, Daniel Bailey, Shane Pope

Weekend Preview

Sandy will be looking to bounce back after two away defeats in a row as they visit groveside to play host Henlow. After a going through a purple patch, Sandy's form has lapsed in the last couple of weeks and they will be keen to rectify that in this important fixture.

The hosts are not in the best form either having only won once in their last four games, however this was against Meltis Albion last week so they will be hoping that they have also turned the corner. Henlow will be hoping to repeat their 2 - 1 win when they visted Bedford road in September.

Despite their two loses, Sandy still have the second best goalscoring record in the league and boast the sixth tightest defence. Henlow have struggled to score goals this season and Sandy will be hoping that they can shut the home side out and return to the goalscoring form that propelled them up the table after Christmas.

A Sandy win could see them rise to as high as fifth position if results go their way, but Henlow will be looking put a spanner in the works and gain a vital three points in their battle against relegation.

With several players away due to the easter holiday the squad is bolstered by the return of Sam James who was missing last week. Adam Jones also gets his first call up to the first team squad after an outstanding season for the reserves.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Phil Beall, Mark Jennings, Dave Smith, Sam James, Sam King, Chris Baines, Daniel Bailey, Ian Hammett, Charlie Seward, Iain Alderson, Adam Jones

Unavailable: Andrew Wren, Shane Pope, Niko Stanchev (all on Holiday)

Weekend Preview

Sandy visit Ickwell on Saturday as they attempt to return to winning ways following their defeat away to FC Meppershall last week, prior to that result Sandy were unbeaten in their last seven games and will be keen to rediscover their excellent post Christmas form.

Ickwell and Old Warden are currently in a strong run of form themselves having only lost once in their last six games, and they are unbeaten in their last four home games. Their good run of form has seen them rise up the table and with their games in hand they will be eyeing a top six finish just like the visitors.

Despite last weeks reverse, Sandy have had an excellent defensive record since Christmas, and last weeks reverse was the first time that they have conceeded two goals in a game in the league since the turn of the year. It was also the first time in 10 games that Sandy failed to score and they will be keen to make amends this week and get a result that will put them back on track for a top five finish.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Andrew Wren, Phil Beall, Shane Pope, Sam King, Chris Baines, Mark Jennings, Dave Smith, Ian Hammett, Niko Stanchev, Daniel Bailey, Iain Alderson.

Unavailable: Craig Baker (Suspended), Sam James (Spurs), Charlie Seward (Work), Steve Jakes (Work)

Weekend Preview

Sandy will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to eight games as they travel to Bedford to face seventh placed FC Meppershall. In form Sandy have won six of their last seven outings and will be hoping to repeat their early season 7 - 0 victory over the home side when they visited Bedford Road Recreation ground.

Neutrals will be hoping for a high scoring game between the two highest scoring sides in the division, although Sandy have the far superior defensive record having only conceeded 4 goals in their last six games, which should make them favourites for the 3 points.

Meppershall have won their last two games, but since Christmas they have had relatively mixed fortunes winnning three, drawing one and losing two. However many of their games have been close, with a 6 - 5 loss to Kempston Hammers, but 3 - 2 and 4 - 3 wins against Stevington and AFC Kempston Town Reserves respectively. Their last six games have also included a creditable 1 - 1 draw away against Leighton United.

A win for Sandy could close the gap on the teams above and keep them in contention for a top 5 finish, whilst FC Meppershall will have designs of their own on a top six finish and will go above Sandy in the table should they win.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Andrew Wren, Phil Beall, Shane Pope, Sam James, Sam King, Chris Baines, Mark Jennings, Ian Hammett, Charlie Seward, Dave Smith, Iain Alderson

Doubtful: Niko Stanchev (Groin)

Unavailable: Craig Baker (Suspended), Daniel Bailey (Course), Steve Jakes

Weekend Preview

Saturday afternoon action at Bedford Road sees Sandy this weekend entertain 6th placed Kempston, as they look to extend their unbeaten league run to 7 games. Sandy will be hoping to repeat their early season 5 -2 triumph in the reverse fixture, and replace Kempston in 6th place whilst also closing the gap on the top five.

The visitors arrive having not won on their travels in the league since mid November when they visited Campton Reserves. It is not only away from home that Kempston are struggling as since the turn of the year they have only won once in their last six games, against AFC Kempston Town Reserves 2 - 1.

Sandy on the other hand have won five of their last six league games and have scored twenty three goals in those games compared to Kempston who have only scored six. Sandy's defence has also been strong conceeding only four goals in their last five games.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Andrew Wren, Phil Beall, Shane Pope, Chris Baines, Mark Jennings, Daniel Bailey, Ian Hammett, Niko Stanchev, Steve Jakes, Charlie Seward, Dave Smith, Sam King (new signing)

Sandy Reserves
Weekend Preview

Sandy Reserves entertain Westoning Rec Club Reserves at Bedford Road this Saturday in what can only be described as a relegation six pointer. Westoning sit just two places and seven points ahead of Sandy, which means that only a win will do for the home side if they are to have any hope of avoiding relegation in a season that has promised much but delivered little.

The home side have played well in patches but have been unable thus far to get the results that they have needed to move up the table. Following a win against Flitwick Town Reserves in their last outing, Sandy will hope to take some momentum into the match in an effort to turn their league fortunes around.

The visitors have had a tough recent run in the seasons cup competitions with only one win in their last six outings. However in the league Westoning are unbeaten in their last 5 games. This should prove to be a tough afternoon for both sides as each will be eager to take a much needed three points.

Squad: Phil Cooper, Adam Hales, Matt Gedney, Adam Jones, Jamie Bellingham, Marcus Tait, Danny Hoole, Matt Flynn, Brad Dennis, Graham Ward, Dean Hains, Leon Bryan, Brad Smith, Matt Baines, Anthony Roberts, Martin Cull.

Weekend Preview

Sandy travel to bottom of the table Kempston Hammer Sports this weekend in an attempt to increase their unbeaten run in the league to six games.

The home side have had a disappointing season thus far which has seen them rooted to the bottom of the table, but recently they have managed to pick up some vital points as they have won 3 of their last 6 league games. Having only played 16 games this season, Kempston Hammers have a couple of games in hand over those teams above them and will be looking to get a result in their battle against relegation.

The match should prove to be an exciting encounter with plenty of goals, as recently Kempston Hammers have been involved in a 7 - 4 loss a 6 - 5 win and a 6 - 3 win, but whilst they have scored 22 goals in their last 7 games, they have also conceeded 31. Sandy on the other hand have scored 18 in their last 4 games and only conceeded 3.

Sandy will be looking to capitilise on a good run of form since christmas as they look to close the gap on the top six, and will be looking for a repeat of their win in the previous fixture between these two sides. Should results go thier way and Sandy get the win they are looking for, then they could be only 2 points off fifth place come Saturday evening.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Phil Beall, Richard Seldon, Andrew Wren, Shane Pope, Daniel Bailey, Chris Baines, Mark Jennings, Sam James, Ian Hammett, Niko Stanchev, Charlie Seward, Steve Jakes, Dave Smith

Weekend Preview

With Football looking unlikely this weekend, Sandy will have their fingers well and truly crossed that their match with Blunham Reserves will beat the weather and take place as planned. Sandy will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to six games and continue their post Christmas push up the table when they travel to Moggerhangar.

Blunham have only won 1 of their last 7 games in the league, which has seen them lose touch with the leaders and drop down the table to ninth. However they did win their last encounter away at bottom of the table Kempston Hammers Sports.

This local derby will be a close fought affair and Blunham were victors in the reverse fixture between the sides in October when they won 1 - 0. Sandy however did beat the hosts 7 - 4 in the final of the Jess Piggott Trophy at the start of the season.

Should either side win then they have the chance to close the gap on the teams above them, and put themselves pack in the mix for a top four finish.

Sandy Reserves
Weekend Preview

Sandy Reserves return to action this week after a two week break as they resume their fight against relegation when they host Renhold Village at Bedford Road Recreation Ground.

Weather permitting Sandy will be looking to build on their last performance when they beat Flitwick Town Reserves in the Watson Shield 2 - 1. Although this result was deemed void by the league after Sandy had played an ineligible player by accident, the home side will take confidence from the performance and will be looking at the very least to repeat the 1-1 scoreline of the return fixture in October 2009.

Renhold Village travel to Bedford Road in good form however having won 5 of their last six fixtures. Most of these games have been in the cup and if there is any ray of light for Sandy in their hope of pulling off a result it is that Renhold have only won 1 of their last five league games.

Sandy will hope that fortune is with them and Renholds poor league form continues, so that they can find a performance and deliver their first league win since October 2009.

2006/07 and 2007/08 Fixtures and Results added

During the 2006/07 and 2007/08 season the Reserve side where known as Sandy A as they represented the third tier of football within Sandy. Following the withdrawl of Sandy 1st Team from the Premier Division in 2008/09 this team became known as the Reserve side.

The fixtures and results have been added to the website for the above seasons. In 2006/07 the A side finished 7th in Division 3 and in 2007/08 the team finished 12th. The 2007/08 Season saw current 1st team manager Daniel Bailey take charge of the A side for the first time.

Statistics have been added to the webiste for the players that are currently still with the club. Goalscoring records are taken from www.football.mitoo.co.uk

As there is no access to team sheets from those seasons, current appearance data may be slightly inaccurate, but does provide a rough guide to the amount of apperances for each player.

Breaking News...!!!

Sandy have recieved a late boost in their preparations for the visit of Marston Social tomorrow. Sam James is added to the squad, due to a late cancellation of his course, and Niko Stanchev has declared himself fit for the match despite a doubt over his groin injury.

Sandy will be hoping that with an almost full strength squad they can take 3 points from the contest.

Sandy 1st Team
Weekend Preview

Sandy will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to five games this week when they entertain fifth placed Marston Social at Bedford Road. The visitors are currently suffering a dip in form currently having won only three of their last eight matches, where as Sandy have won four of their last five.

Marston Social were victors in the clash between the two sides earlier in the season with a 2 - 1 win, but they visit Bedford Road having not won on their travels for the last six attempts. Sandy have won their last three home games on the bounce so should go into the match full of confidence and will hope to take all three points from the tie.

This could be a match that defines Sandy's season as a win would leave them only two points behind their visitors, and within touching distance of the top five in the table. Where as a loss could see them once again looking over their shoulder at the team below them.

Weekend Preview

This weekend see's Sandy 1st Team entertain 2nd from bottom Stevington at Bedford Road. Sandy will be looking to avenge their surprise 5 - 3 defeat at the hands of the visitors before Christmas. The home side are currently in good form and will be looking to record their third home win in a row, and their fourth league win on the bounce.

Stevington however are also in good form and are undefeated since Christmas, winning both their centenary cup fixtures and drawing their league encounter with Campton. Prior to Christmas Stevington had also won 3 of their 4 league games, so the vsitors should be full of confidence which could make for an exciting game.

If Sandy avoid defeat they would move up one place to seventh if FC Meppershall fail to get a result against top of the table Flitwick, but Sandy will be looking to extend their winning run and close the gap further on 5th/6th place in the table.

Squad: Mark Pallister, Richard Seldon, Phil Beall, Andrew Wren, Shane Pope, Dave Smith, Sam James, Mark Jennings, Chris Baines, Ian Hammett, Niko Stanchev, Craig Baker, Steve Jakes, Brad Smith

Unavailable: Manager Daniel Bailey (Coaching Course), Charlie Seward (Family event).

Sandy Reserves are not in action this week, as their next game is against Renhold Village on 27/2/2010.

Sandy Sunday will be looking to continue their excellent form as they entertain Caldecote Young Boys for the second week in a row. This time it is in the quarter finals of the Bedfordshire FA Sunday Cup.

Sandy have won the last two encounters between the two clubs 4 - 0 and will be looking for the same result this weekend. The home side are unbetaen in their last 10 league games and have only lost two games all season, so the team will start firm favourites for this fixture. Caldecote come in to the game having won only once in their last four fixtures so will need to dig deep to pull off a surprise at Bedford Road.

Squad News to follow.

Weekend Preview

This weekend the club hope to see a return to action of their 1st Team after last weeks postponement. Sandy will travel to Harvey Close to take on a Caldecote Reserves side that currently sit 4th in the table. In the two previous meetings between the clubs this season Caldecote have taken the honours with a 5-4 win on penalties after a 3 - 3 draw in the East Beds Charity Cup 2nd round, and then a 5 - 3 win when they visited Bedford Road in the league.

Sandy however will go into the fixture with confidence after a 7 - 0 drubbing of AFC Kempston Town Reserves in their last fixture and will be looking to make it 3 league wins in a row for the first time this season. Caldecote have also suffered a blip in their season as they have not won in their last four games, losing to Kempston, Leighton United (Cup) and FC Meppershall (Cup) and drawing with Blunham Reserves.

Due to the teams directly above them not being in action a win for Sandy would move them up 3 places in the table to 8th and provide some much needed breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone.

Squad news to Follow.

Sandy Reserves return to Watson Shield action this week in a dead rubber game against Division 4 side Flitwick Town Reserves. The action in Group 7 sees Sandy trying to win their first game in the competition and possibly build some momentum to take into their remaining league fixtures. Narrow losses in their last three games have seen Sandy move to bottom of Division 3 and be knocked out of the Watson Shield.

Flitwick Town Reserves are currently in a strong run of form winning 4 of their last 5 games including the previous meeting between the two clubs. Sandy however can take heart from much improved performances in their last two fixtures and will hope to stop the rot against lower division opposition.

This game is all about confidence for Sandy Reserves and Manager Graham Ward will be hoping that his team rise to the occasion and find only their second win of the season.

Squad: Phil Cooper, Matt Gednay, Jamie Bellingham, Adam Hales, Adam Jones, Dan Hoole, Brad Dennis, Graham Ward, David Lloyd, Marcus Tait, Matt Flynn, Matt Baines, Leon Bryan, Kevin Fage, Brad Smith and Anthony Roberts

Sunday action at Bedford Road sees Caldecote Young Boys visit Sandy Sunday. Sandy who are currently in a great run of form unbeaten in 9 league games, and only having lost 2 of 13 games this season will be confident of taking 2 points from this fixture. This run of good form has seen them move to the top of the table in their quest to win a record fourth league title in a row.

On the last meeting between the two clubs Sandy took the honours with a 4 - 0 away win at Harvey Close. Caldecote come into this meeting in mixed form having had 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss in their last three games.

By the end of the weekend Sandy will hope to have taken full advantage of their game in hand to have extended their lead at the top of the table to 3 points over their nearest rivals as Athletico Europa and Lawson Park Rangers are both in cup quarter final action.
