Match Report

League rivals Beds SA were the next team up for Sandy as manager Ian Hammett rang the changes. Chris Gregory made his debut for the club as did Oli Banfield who replaced Matt Gedney whose knee didn't seem fond of the hard ground.

Sandy looked much improved and when they played football dominated Beds SA and the game. However they didn't manage to create many early clear cut chances, until Rob Tapley went on a superb mazy run through the team and into the box, he then squared it for Brad Smith to finish at the second attempt and once again give Sandy a 1-0 lead.

Staf then did make it two nil after Rob Tapley threaded through a beautifully weighted ball, but the team were stunnned to see the linesman raise his flag and cost them a second goal. Long shots from Ian Hammett and Dan Stafford failed to trouble the keeper as Sandy looked to hold on to their lead.

However with the game winding down, a long ball over the top of the defence caught Pally and Matt Evans out allowing the Beds SA foward to steal in and chip the ball over Pally to grab a point for Beds SA with pretty much the last kick of the game.

Man of the Match: Rob Tapley
