Match Report

The toughest opposition where now on hand to play Sandy FC and they raced into a two nil lead. Matt Balls was lobbed with a twenty yard free kick, that sailed into the roof of the net and then Shane Pope was outjumped in the middle of the box allowing the Lal Toofan forward to head home from a clever cross.

Prior to this in a niggly game Sandy weren't really involved a great deal as Rob Tapley and Mark Jennings battled hard in midfield and Staf was isolated up front. Gradually though as the contest went on and on Sandy became more and more dominant.

Winning a free kick on the right, Rob Tapley whipped it in but it was well defended away for a corner. Chris Gregory took the corner and found Staf in the box who unmarked headed home to get Sandy back into it. Sandy kept the pressure on, but couldn't find that one opportunity that would get them bakc into the game and they eventually ended up losing 2-1.

Although it could of been worse had Matt Balls not made a couple of crucial saves during the contest.

Man of the Match: Rob Tapley
