Dinnington Town FC | 2-0 | Phoenix |
Dinn0 collected their first victory at Phoenix Park thanks to a deserved 2-0 scoreline against Phoenix. The Brinsworth outfit would have fancied their chances after Town's 9-0 drubbing at AFC Bentley the weekend before, but ran into a Dinnington side that made 8 changes in personnel and employed a different system through the midfield - having the effect Matt Jenkinson would have desired. Both goals came in the second half, the first saw Brad Howe power home a header from a Jacob France corner. Substitute Hotheyfa Gadour then created a chance for Jardel Mansell-Barton, before spurning a cross himself, this time from new boy Joel Elms. Former Sheffield Wednesday academy prospect Jonathan Fusco rounded off a comfortable victory after being played through by the energetic Gadour. Manager Jenkinson stated his delight "for the lads, especially after the previously embarassing performance."
