Thorne Colliery | 3-4 | Dinnington Town FC |
Dinno produced an excellent second half display to bounce back from being 3-1 down at half time to win 3-4 against Thorne Colliery in the Buckinghamshire Insurance League Cup. Thorne raced into a commanding lead with only Brad Howe replying for the away side. Given Town's recent form, Thorne appeared to have found a safe passage into the next round, but second half strikes from Munya Mswaka, Jonathan Fusco (penalty) and Adam Clayden sealed a turn around from Town that delighted boss Matt Jenkinson. Unfortunately the victory was blighted by the news that young full back Declan Martin suffered a broken collarbone during the game and would likely be out of action until December at the earliest. Jenkinson said: "The lads showed great character in the second half to turn the result in our favour, we probably would have lost that game a few weeks ago. However their reaction was good and they got what they deserved in the end. Unfortunately Dec suffered a serious injury, we wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is back in action soon."
