Barrowford Celtic 2-7 Lytham St Annes YMCA Girls U-16s

Ymca finished the season in style against gutsy opponents last Sunday in East Lancashire.  After a tight opening to the first half YMCA opened the scoring when Isabelle Kells latched onto a through ball from Lara Pilling to make it 1-0.  Ellie McNally then opened up the defence to slot the ball through for Kells 2nd of the game. Barrowford then struck back just before half time to make it 2-1. YMCA started the 2nd half pressuring their opponents and Kells scored early after meeting a long ball from McNally to make it 3-1. McNally then scored after following in a shot that the keeper parried from Saisha Bracken 4-1. Holly Crossley then scored her 2nd of the season with a great finish from a run from Kells 5-1, YMCA continued to press and Kells scored after cutting in and scoring from a tight angle 6-1, the very impressive Kells then scored her 5th to make it 7-1. Barrowford replied to make it 7-2 late on. In a great display to finish to the season Phoebe Davies and Lara Pilling were outstanding and Olivia Neal made some important saves early on.
