13s BOYS PIPPED IN COUNTY CUP - 12s BOYS MAKE IT 8 OUT OF 8
Our Under 13s Boys were eliminated from the County Cup in the 3rd round against Atherton Town at Seafield Rd this weekend. The game was well contested throughout but goals either side of half time put the visitors 2-0 ahead. We staged a spirited fight back with some good attacking play in the 2nd half and pulled a goal back with Harry Dyer firing home a spot kick but we just couldn't fine an equaliser and Atherton went home with a 2-1 victory. Our Under 12 Boys go marching on though and a 9-0 win over Fleetwood Town Reds at Seafield making it eight straight wins so far, five in the league and three in the County Cup. Noah Mawene bagged a hat trick with Harry Gledhill and Kaiden Pirrie both notching pairs. Aslo at Seafield our 15s boys faced Clifton Rangers who took a 3-0 lead in the 1st half. We pulled two goals back with strikes by Olli Fishwick and Joe Wareing but as we pushed everybody forward in search of an equaliser the visitors broke away and grabbed a fourth goal to inflict a 4-2 defeat on our boys. Our 11s Boys had a resounding 14-1 victory at Seafield in a PDPL Cup group match, Dev Cooney and Reece Godfrey both claiming four-goal hauls.
