We were officially into autumn but it was more like summer this weekend with wall-to-wall sunshine on both days, hardly a breath of wind and temperatures well into the 60s. There were four games at Seafield on the Sunday and all proved to be very entertaining encounters. Both our Girls teams had close games in the morning. Our 12s played hosts to Euxton and we led 2-0 at half time but the visitors fought back impressively with three 2nd half goal to clinch a 3-2 victory. On the next pitch our 16s were taking on Great Harwood and missed chances cost us dearly. Despite calving out numerous scoring opportunities it was the visitors who broke the deadlock with a goal just before the interval. We continued to creat chances after the restart but couldn't convert any of them at Harwood went home with a 1-0 victory.

There were two boys games in the afternoon and these were hard fought contests as well. Our 14s were up against Kirkham and we were 3-1 ahead after half an hour with strikes by Spencer Baxendale, Jeorge Culthard and Jame Mollow. Hower the visitors pulled a goal back before the break and in the closing minutes they netted again to earn a 3-3 draw. Our 16s took on main title rivals Blackpool Rangers who started well and led twice but we made it 2-2 at half time. The 2nd half was just as close but we added a further two goals to claim a 4-2 victory. Jack Bishop, George Hawkins and Ross Hart all on target.
