The Special one vs Fergie, Nay vs Mitchell, one match one winner....

A match that could have become mired down in the tension that suddenly exploded on Friday evening between the two Managers - entertaining football was served with some great tackling...

Assisted by Mitchell's man marking tactics YM oranges controlled the opening 10 minutes, Thierry and Jacob patrolled midfield creating space for Zack to rampage at will, the first goal was created on the left, a deep cross from Harry met on the half volley from Thierry - show time....within a minuite Zack had scored the second, a sweet left foot shot, set up by hardworking Thomas, Fin played a fantastic though ball for Thomas to make it three, somehow his shot was inches wide, Ross marshalled the defence like his life depended on it - Lexi and Zack were finding lots of space and playing some great one - two's and seemed to break at will, Mitchell's tactics were spot on, Oranges were in complete control, unlucky not to be further ahead when Jacob played a great ball through to Thomas who again missed by inches, Archie was winning the battle on the right hand side and was unlucky not to score with a thunderous strike, half time arrived, Oranges 2 Blacks 0 - Nay shell shocked - Mitchell. In control....

The second half started - with the blacks playing some good football, Freddie had a couple of great runs and crosses, Charlee thundered a free kick just over the bar with Billy linking up with Daniel Keegan on the right hand side, Zack was breaking from midfield and linking up with Thomas, thwarted only by the excellent defending by Noah and Yash, Max played a great ball through to Charlee who crossed the ball to Dan, he danced around a defender and had a great shot saved....,  Mitchell's tactical master class payed dividends, soak up the pressure and hit them on the break, a deep run by Thierry resulted in a goal, top corner, no stopping this one...., 3.0 to the Oranges... Game over? - The Blacks had other ideas, within a minute they had pulled one back from a shot that clipped Ross on the way to to the back of the net, curtesy of Daniel, Harry quickly made the score 4.1 with a clever shot from just outside the box, Billy pulled a goal back with a well taken strike, 4.2 to the Oranges, time for another goal from Thierry, beating two players, shooting low to the goalkeepers left A fair result in the end, excellent football played by both sides, Oranges 5 Blacks 2 - Mitchell 1 Nay 0
