Match Report

YMCA maintained their undefeated league record with a convincing win in sunny East Lancashire last Sunday. After as slow start they took the lead in the 17th min when keeper Olivia Neal made a long clearance upfield. Isabelle Kells chased the long ball which eventually broke to captain Ellie McNally who finished superbly.  It became 2-0 with Neal again the provider after another long kick found Georgia Norman on the right wing. After some excellent dribbling skills she put in a fine cross which found Kells who netted with a fantastic header.  YMCA continued on the ascendancy producing some fine football and McNally again was on hand to stride forward to score her second making it 0-3 at half time and to put the game out of reach of the home side.  After the break YMCA took their foot off the gas a little but still created further chances but found the Langho keeper was in fine form throughout.  However YMCA did manage to score a fourth goal with Annabelle Jackson cashing in on a defensive error to finish well and although further chances followed no further goals were added.  In a pleasing YMCA team performance, Lara Pilling, Saisha Bracken and Georgia Norman were all particularly notable.
