Match Report

Due to the late arrangement of this game by the League Tony Gregory was unable to attend, but thankfully Barry Mills stepped in to help get the organised. With the help of Barry, Sandy Reserves were able to attend the match at Hill grounds.

The reserves welcomed the support from 1st team regulars Mark Pallister, Matt Gedney and Olly Banfield, due to the 1st team having a embarrassment of riches for the day. Pallister was returning from long term injury and needed to test his shoulder. The absence of regular stopper Phil Cooper made this possible. Gedney and Banfield were sent to get 90 minutes under their belts as their opportunities in a strong first team have been limited this season.

Sandy made a slow start and this was taken advantage of as Kempston took the lead and held it at 2 0 as they reached half time.

Barry must of fed the boys with strong words at half time, and positive team tactics, as the team turned the score line around and claimed the available 3 points on the day. Jonny Stratford, Olly Banfield and Chris Gregory were on the scoresheet.

Tony's thanks go to Barry and the lads for their support as he was unable to attend the match. The news at full time was greatly received, as to get a result is fantastic.
