Dinnington Town FC 3-2 Thorne Colliery

Dinno came from behind for a second time in a week against Thorne Colliery at Phoenix Park, this time in the Central Midlands league.

Colliery took a half time lead after header just before the break, leaving Dinnington fans wondering if missed chances within the first half, including a free header for Scott McKenna, might leave the yellow and blacks empty handed.   But a goal filled second half saw ex-Owl Jonathan Fusco find the back of the net in stunning fashion from 25-yards, after the Thorne goalkeeper was caught off his line. Fusco then doubled his tally a few minutes later despite being surrounded by Thorne defenders, his low shot still managed to find it's way into the net.   Not perturbed by Town's rapid turnaround, Thorne bounced back less than sixty seconds later with a 20-yard free kick into the top corner. With a draw on the cards, it took a 91st minute header from midfielder Brad Howe to ensure Town held onto a deserved three points.   Manager Matt Jenkinson said of his players: "It was a class response from the lads during the second half, they fully deserved the win and all three points."
