After spending the last year with us as an integral part of our squad, Lewis Newsome has regretably decided to move on to pastures new. He leaves with a heavy heart and on good terms having made many new friends, best friends and hopefully an extended family in footballing terms.Thursday 15th September 2016
As we look to begin the controlled growth of our squad in preparation for next years U9's (7v7) league, we are pleased to announce the completed sigining of Lewis Newsome from Hebburn. After declaring his interests on social media to find an alternative avenue to play his football, a number of clubs and teams came forward looking to welcome him into their setup. However, following a recommendation from respected coaches outside of the club and the completion of a successful trial training session from the perspective of both parties, Lewis immediately confirmed his desire to chose Hetton Lyons and dismiss all other options. His transfer papers have been cmpleted and subitted to the FA today, however adminstrative efforts are still ongoing behind the scenes to enable Lewis's availability for this weekends match against Leam Rangers Orange.
His player profile will be completed in due course.
