YMCA's Under 12s Girls returned back to winning ways last Sunday with a convincing 5-0 away victory at Myerscough. The feature of this win was a four-goal haul by Isobelle Kells who's pace and clinical finishing caused problems for the home team throughout. After Georgia Norman opened the scoring YMCA were thankful to keeper Olivia Neal for maintaining their lead with some fine saves before the impressive Kells took the game away from Myescough. Unfortunately our 16s Girls suffered an 8-1 defeat in Morecambe to a strong Allerdale outfit. Despite the scoreline though our girls showed very good spirit and the scoreline didn't reflect the creditable efforts of our girls. Emily Fellows notched a late consolation goal for YMCA.

Our 14s Boys faced Kirkham for the 2nd time in seven days after the two teams had fought out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Seafield the previous week. In this return fixture at Coronation Rd we were 2-0 down at half time but after the restart a double strike by Jake Molloy put us back on level terms. YMCA though began to tire as Kirkham's overall physical strength began to tell and they hit us with a four goal blitz. A James Hughes strike reduced the deficit but it came to late and Kirkham held on to a comfortable 6-3 victory. Our 12s' Boys good start to the season continued with a hard earned 3-0 win over Clifton Rangers at Seafield. Ashley Waterfield, Spencer Phillips and Josh Edwards were our scorers
