YMCA Under 14s were looking for their first victory of the campaign when they welcomed high riding BJFF Blades to Seafield Rd but they couldn't have got off to start. Blades snatched the lead with less than a minute on the clock and added two more goals to go 3-0 ahead after just 20 mins. YMCA then came more into the game but it remained 3-0 for the visitors at half time. Three goals behind YMCA's hopes of notching victory looked a forlorn hope but they started the second half displaying much more determination which was rewarded when Finn Breakell reduced their deficit when he lofted the ball from 20yds into the top corner. YMCA remained well on top and Blades looked shell shocked as they conceded two more goals to make make the score 3-3. YMCA weren't settling for just a point though and they continued to launch relentless attacks on the Blades goal which led to two more goals being added to give them an incredible 5-3 victory against all the odds. Breakell grabbed his 2nd goal during this stunning YMCA fightback with Toby Grant, Jeorge Culthard and Ruben Shaw also on target. Meanwhile over at Preesall a double strike by Owen Bridge helped our 16s boys to a 3-1 victory over Wyre Jun with Ross Hart our other scorer.

Our 11s Boys also staged a great fightback at Seafield this weekend against Kirkham. We trailed 1-3 at half time but with an excellent 2nd half display we earned a 4-4 in a highly entertaining contest. Our goals came from Harry Gledhill, Daniel Keegan, Finn Pearson and Noel Mawane. Our 16s Girls were also at Seafield against Euxton but we were missing key players on the day and were well beaten 8-2, Chanel Dawson bagging both our goals with two superb strikes.
