YMCA's Under 14s were handed a tough draw in the 1st round of the County Cup. They had to travel to Preston to take on top Central Lancs outfit BAC/EE and they proved just too strong for our boys. We trailed 4-0 at the break then the home side added five more goals in the 2nd half to run out comfortable 9-1 winners. Spenser Baxendale notched our consolation.

At Seafield this weekend two of our teams had fine league victories. Our 12s Boys took on Foxhall and both teams produced some excellent football in the 1st half which ended goalless. After the restart though our boys began to gain the upper hand and we went on to record a hard earned 3-1 victory with Harry Dyer bagging a pair. Ashley Waterfield was our other marksman. Our 16s Boys entertained Wyre Jun for the 2nd week running. We beat them 9-0 the previous week in the 1st round of the County Cup but last weekend's game was much closer before we ran out 5-2 winners. Jack Bishop and Owen Bridge both netted twice with Ross Hart also on target.

Our 16s Girls kicked off their new season with a trip to Blackburn to take on BCSC where we took an early lead through Emily Fellows. We could have increased our lead further but denied several times with some fine saves by the home keeper. BCSC came back to lead 3-1 at the interval then added five more goals in the 2nd half to run out 8-1 winners.
